ITC Level 3 Award in Teaching and Assessing First Aid Qualifications

This qualification has been developed for those new to first aid training.  It is  listed on the current Awarding Body Assessment Principles publication that outlines the requirements for individuals and businesses to deliver regulated first aid qualifications throughout the UK.

Delivery

The teaching programme is relevant, dynamic, practical, challenging and innovative, covering 3 main areas:

  • Understanding the first aid training sector.
  • Delivering regulated first aid training and qualifications.
  • Assessment in the first aid training sector.

The assessment of this qualification occurs within the 5-day programme and consists of a 20 question multiple choice question paper and tutor observation of candidates teaching and assessing first aid topics.

  • The delivery may be an intensive week or spread over a number of weeks.
  • The training is focussed on current best practice for delivering and assessing regulated first aid qualifications.
  • Tutor/mentor support throughout.
  • Successful completion will result in the candidate gaining the qualification 'ITC Level 3 Award in Teaching and Assessing First Aid Qualifications'.
